1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage) works in a similar way but is only read by the website that created it. We use as few of these as possible.
2. What we set
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
jms_sid | Strictly necessary cookie | Keeps you signed in to your account. Set only by our server when you sign in; HttpOnly and SameSite. | Until you close the browser or sign out |
jms_login | Strictly necessary cookie | Passes your first name to the page once, right after signing in. | 2 minutes |
jms_pending | Strictly necessary cookie | Carries your name and email from Google to the finish-sign-up form. | 15 minutes |
jms_age | Browser storage | Remembers that you confirmed you are 18+ so the age check is not shown on every page. | Until cleared |
jms_cookies | Browser storage | Remembers your choice on the cookie bar. | Until cleared |
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run analytics unless you accept "all" cookies; at the moment no analytics are installed, so accepting changes nothing.
3. Third-party cookies
- Google Sign-In may set cookies from google.com when you use the Google button. Google's cookie policy applies.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site and may log the request on Google's servers.
- Our games load inside the page from jmschauer.com and may use browser storage for settings such as sound volume.
4. How to control cookies
Use the Cookie settings button in the footer to change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the jms_sid cookie you will not be able to stay signed in.
5. Changes
We will update this list if we add or remove any cookie. The date at the top shows the latest version.
